Potty Training has begun!!

It's official. Curran has his own little potty and is starting to try
to use it. I stress the word "try"!! He loves the potty. He'd like to
sit on it all day if I would let him. I have, true to my nature,
exhaustively researched the potty training books and aids that are out
there. There are as many different opinions as there are kids to
train, but I have found the small book by T. Barry Brazelton and Potty
Training for Dummies to be the best. There's no rushing your child or
huge parties involved. It's much calmer and takes it at the child's
pace.

He'll get it- my mama says that no one ever grows up and isn't potty
trained!

Mother's Day

Today was Mother's Day and we had a very nice day. It started with
Curran waking me up by whispering Happy Mother's Day and then crawling
in bed beside me. Then we had coffee and juice and went out for
breakfast. I received wonderful cards from Pradeep, Curran, and Cason.
I also got gift certificates for not one massage, but two!! A Book, a
CD and some summer wines rounded it out.

I actually like Mother's Day better than my birthday. On my birthday,
I get older. But on Mother's Day, I really feel special. I love being
a mommy, especially to my sweet little boy. He was sick this weekend,
but I have cuddled with him and snuggled with him to help him feel
better- and I think he does.

So Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there. Isn't it just the
best?!
