First Family Disaster- I Mean Adventure!

Last week, one of our sewer lines broke and flooded the basement. Pee Ewwww! So we had to go live in a hotel for about 3 days. The first hotel had a spotlight trained on the window so the baby was up all night. The second hotel had construction going on and the air conditioner didn't work right. But I have to say that the baby was a real trooper. He really didn't give us much trouble and was very sweet. But we were all dropping on our feet by the time we got to come home. Poor Pradeep. He stayed at the house and did most of the cleanup with the ServPro people. Now we're trying to sift through things and throw stuff away or donate it. We needed to do it anyway, this just gives us the incentive to get it done. After we're done, we'll have a nice new clean basement for Curran to play in.

First solid food!

Curran has now tried rice cereal and hates it. You'll see in this picture that a lot of it doesn't stay in his mouth!! But don't worry, I have my ways of making him swallow it!! He's getting so big!!

Four Months!

Curran had his 4 month check up yesterday. He's over 14 pounds and 25.5 inches long. He's right on track developmentally. He had four shots and did great- very brave!! The only issue is that because he has to sleep on his back (to prevent SIDS), he has developed positional plagiocephaly. In plain English, he has a flat spot on his head. Dr. Jernigan has referred us to Orthotics at Children's Hospital Of Atlanta and he should be just fine. No real problems. He is getting bigger and brighter every day!! I have attached a pic of him in his new activity center. This will help him to stay off the back of his head while he plays!!
